The Alexandria Chamber Professional Women’s Network (PWN) is a dynamic women’s group within the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce designed to foster networking, educational opportunities and support among the area’s professional women.
Each quarter PWN hosts Coffee & Connections, an hour-long (8:30am-9:30am) morning networking and educational event that provides members the opportunity to meet new people as well as receive a piece of professional development from an expert speaker.
Every March, PWN hosts its signature event, The Women’s Leadership Forum. The Forum brings together over 200 women (and men) at all stages of their careers for a morning long program designed to provide, discussion, inspiration and professional development.
At the end of each year, PWN gathers for their year-end celebration, An Evening of Perfect Pairings, Wine + Chocolate, Women + Business. This vibrant and tasty event highlight’s PWN and its members’ successes of the year.

Kick off your morning with the Professional Women’s Network at our September event—featuring coffee, conversation, and valuable connections with women (and men) from across the region.
This quarter, we’ll take a guided look at Women in Business: We Were Always Here, a special exhibit at Gadsby’s Tavern Museum that explores the remarkable stories of women entrepreneurs who helped shape Alexandria’s past and present. Through the story of Hannah Griffith—a Revolutionary-era coffeehouse owner and businesswoman—and the experiences of women business owners across generations, we’ll discover how women have always played a vital role in our local economy and community.
Come ready to network, be inspired by the women who came before us, and celebrate the lasting impact of women in business.
